I remember a while back I thought that there was a light in the amber part of the light, but people dismissed it saying that it was just reflective with no light. I remembered about it tonight and figured I take some pictures as photographic evidence while I was changing some lights. For those that already knew this, you now have proof too. For those who didn't know this, you can think of something creative to do with it if you like, like put in brighter leds to fully light up the whole amber portion.
And for those that DGAF, cool!
For these pictures, the flash was off for all of them.
All lights off:
The first setting, when you twist the light control one notch and get the DRL and the amber light on:
hmm ive heard of people putting a grey/steel color reflector when they black out their housings. most just paint over it. but if you're leaving it stock, i guess you can find a reflector piece thats a color of your choice.
do those flash with the turn signal as well? hahah i never noticed!
They don't flash with turn signal, I tried that too haha.
Yeah people never notice it because they're usually inside and never really pay attention, or if they see it on other cars just assume it is illuminated from their headlights.
someone should make a clear reflector piece. I bet 2is owners would be all over it. i know i would
Now that I would highly doubt. People are not willing to pay for such a piece, let alone tear apart the lights just to install it. You are just a minority compared to the other 2IS owners.
