My first ding :( How bad is it?
Driving home and a big truck drives pass me in the opposite direction then I hear a big *DING* right next to me. I already knew I took some damage, just down the street from my house too. That was the longest 20 sec drive back home because I was anticipating the damage. My car is only 3 weeks old too! And I just bathed it today too lol
Well here's the damage. How bad is it? You can see the impact spot and the paint peeling around it.
Excuse me while I go cry a bit

definitely some touch up paint. had it just been the paint and not an actual indentation, scratch x or scratch doctor wouldve done the job. sucks cuz its still a new ride...

Check the dealer first. My dealer (Raleigh, NC) has the Dent Wizard guys there every day. I had a parking lot ding on the LR door, waist high, 2008 IS, black car, really depressing. I was in for service and they asked if I wanted it fixed? $99 and, honestly, it is GONE. The paint touchup may make it harder, but they really do wonders.

if your going to do it yourself i suggest you buy primer. you should sand down the area and remove all the paint that is pealing off, this prevents the area from getting bigger. after you remove all the old paint, the metal should be exposed so primer would be a good idea

I say you take it to a body shop as a last resort or just touch-up and move on.
