those are seriously long and I see them not fitting in many different applications due to the length.

Actually they fit just fine with room to spare. I even ordered up a different set to test against, and found these new ones to be even brighter white, a little longer and yes.. a PERFECT fit for the parking lights. Nice 6000k color fill. Swapped the others to the reverse lights as I found the CREE style to be too directional only for my liking.

$12.99 shipped for the pair:

If you really want those tiny little 5 SMT LED bulbs, they're a everywhere on the auction site for about a dollar a piece. Don't get ripped off by a high price vendor..

^I had those same bulbs from ebay and replaced them with VLEDs when they had a sale. The is a HUGE difference between the two. VLEDs are so much brighter.

I agree. I'm sure there are some quality parking light LEDs out there one eBay, but I haven't found them yet.

I used brociouz's guide on replacement leds and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Here is a link to the guide:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...de-w-pics.html

And here are the exact reverse light leds I got:

A-ha.. that's why. The VLED parking lot that he used doesn't exist anymore. "SOLD OUT"

FWIW, the problem with using high current LED bulbs like that for parking lights is that they generate a lot of heat and will burn out early when constantly on..

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead lol.

brociouz,

Which of these LED's would you recommend to blend the best w/ Phillips Ultinon 6000K HID? The Ultinon is white w/ a slight hint of purple. From your explanation and photos, it looks like #3 would be the most fitting. However, I don't think that specific LED is made any longer. At least, I can't find it on the VLED website. Thanks.

I would go with Philips Ultinon 6000k T10 LED Wedge bulbs.

Thanks for the reply, Steve. Unfortunately, I currently have the exact bulbs you mention as parking lights. They give poor output and do not fill the section of housing they occupy, which is why I am looking to switch.

Leds are very directional. Be cautious about going with 360 style bulbs, as they are longer an often types do not fit the intended application.

Those look good! Do they fill up the housing pretty well?
