So trying to connect my Motorola Droid via a USB cable to the USB port in my 2010 IS and I get an "ERROR 1" message on the radio. I tried calling the Lexus dealer and they have no clue. In the manual it say's you can connect iPod/iPhone or a storage device like a flash drive to play MP3's/music. Anybody else having this issue?

I did connect via blue tooth. Sounds and works great. But you can't get the track/song info. Also, when you connect with USB cable, your phone charges. If it was only iPod/iPhone then I would think the manual would say that, but it also say's storage device. My phone has 16gb micro sd card. Thanks for the help!

Have you tried to mount the sd card on your droid? (basically, you plug the usb, scroll the top phone bar down and touch the usb connected. Then it will ask you if you want to mount the sd card.) Also you can try usb debugging mode.

I did mount the SD card. I tried debugging mode also. I even tried moving the music to the root of the sd card. My music was in a music folder so I thought maybe the radio is looking in the root and not the music folder with no luck. Thanks for the replies.

No, no navigation. Didn't want to fork out $3k or so for the navigation. My Droid has navigation for free!!! LOL
The USB cable I'm using works on my computer. So the cable is good.

Since you use your droid as a navi, i take it you also have the car mount. Might as well just get an aux cable so you navi, mp3s, pandora, etc can play off the aux port. My setup is like that since my GS doesn't have usb support. When the phone rings, the music mutes when i talk and resumes after i hang up.

If it was only Windows OS, then the iPod's will not work. That's not it.
So yesterday I connected an iPod which worked perfectly as expected, then I took out my Micro SD card from my phone, connected the Micro SD into a USB card reader and connected that into the car and it worked! I was able to play music through the card reader. So the problem has to do with the mounting of the phone or something along those lines. Next I'm going to try to un-mount the Micro SD card before connecting the phone. Thanks for all the replies.

hi, i just got my IS 350 with navigation. I have same problem connecting to razr with USB. The AUX/USB button on nav even does not come up, it is grey out.
I can connect using bluetooth, but i want to use USB to charge phone at same time if possible...
Is there any solution? it looks like a lexus software issue to me...
