What kind of car did they steal from your complex? Make sure you have appropriate auto insurance for additional property.

For a average crack head its impossible, for some professional its very easy. Now there has to be something in the car they would really want, and i doubt you have anything like that valuable for them.

The leasing office couldn't tell me because of privacy issue. I could understand that. But they even couldn't tell me what really happened until I asked the residents.

I don't have anything valuable inside the car. The most expensive thing is my car is my sunglasses $80. But that's hidden in the storage.

So after reading all comments, can I say that Lexus cars, especially IS, are not popular among thieves because they are harder to steal?

Like someone said, if they want it, they will get it. you can do all you want but they will find ways around it. parking between cars or anything else to slow them down doesnt really work. if they are experienced theives then they will have wheel jacks where you can just grab the wheel, jack up the little cart and push the car any where you please.

its not a commonly stolen car so i wouldnt worry about it. someone tried to break into my GS and they couldnt even get inside guess they werent that experienced.

I live in Houston too, when i was in an apartment, a nice complex, there would occasionally be benz's and bimmers with tires slashed and windows busted... luckily i had a personal garage for my apartment and now i moved into a house... Just keep the valuables out of sight in the car, best advice for anyone to help keep their car out of the theft spotlight.

I think you posted this in the wrong thread.

I think you wanted to post it here:
