Default ipod interface kit

i posted this on audio... but i had no responses...
i tried to find the answer on other threads but couldnt find the right answer...
i was wondering if the lexus/toyota ipod interface kit works without the NAV (i have 07 is350 nonNAV) and i also read about the VAIS ipod interface kit.. how is that one compared to the lexus one??

THANKS!

If you have XM, you can't use the OEM one. You can have one or the other, but not both.

I don't see why the OEM one wouldn't work if you don't have nav as it only plays audio (although I could be mistaken).

TOYPD2 should work as well. I have it on my mine but in the manual you can get it to work without Navi. It's the same as the VAIS unit.

The OEM Ipod kit was designed to plug into the same input (AUX) as the XM receiver, so if you already have XM, you won't have anywhere to plug the Ipod kit into and vice versa.

if you want an iPod integration with XM/Sirius you can get the Dice Electronics one i think... it can emulate in the CD player mode
