Need some opinion and help to this newbie here...
I just installed the Vossen CV1 on my 2009 IS350, 20x9 +38 and 20x10.5 +42 with 245/30/20 front and 285/30/20 rear... my car is not dropped, only dropped on OEM Sport Suspension... The wheels are pretty much flushed to the fenders, even sticking out a little bit.
As I came out of the shop with my winter tires and rims in the back, my rear wheels are rubbing quite servely... when I got home and off loaded the winter tires it was still rubbing but much less. The next day, went back to the shop and have my fenders rolled, and now is rubbing only on bigger bumps... but it's still rubbing once in a while.
Front tires rub slightly when I turn and the tires hit the plastic part sticking out.
I know you guys are gonna say my tires are too big, but I don't want to buy a new set of tires...
What are my options now? Like I said the car is not really lowered, but I would like to get it lowered with coilovers. But I dunno how people have tires flushed and lower to little to no wheel gap and not have it rub, I guess I'm trying to achieve the same thing... any help to this newbie here is greatly appreciated!!!

The front of 245/30/20 is actually recommended by Vossen (even though it still scrapes the wheel well), I choose 285/30/20 in the rear because I was told to maintain a height stagger of at least 0.5" front to rear in order for ECU, traction control and ABS working probably.
Vossen recommended 285/25/20 for the rear, but with that the height stagger with the front would be -0.55", which means the front tire would actually be bigger than the rear tire, and I definitely don't want that. In hindsight I should have choose 275/30/20 for the rear...
Well selling my CV1 is not an option, I love the wheels... and you guys keep telling me what I already know, the tires are too big... (I already knew you guys would tell me that, thats why I mentioned in my origianl post, but I guess that was not enough for you guys to not state the obvious hahaha)
What I'm asking is what's the best option without selling my tires? Lower it and actually create a camber of 1 or 2 degrees, so the tires are a little tucked in? I also like to know how some people have flushed wheels and little to no wheel gaps and still not rub?

Does the front still rub on 245/30/20 even with the fender roll? Do you still think 275/30/20 will rub in the rear? Do you think there's a big ride/comfort difference between 285/25/20 and 275/30/20?
I am thinking about getting the CV1s and am dropped on Eibach pro kit springs.

I have 275/30/20 with +40 and was still rubbing as of this weekend. I did some more fender mods this weekend and so far no more rubbing.
the 285 is way too aggressive. I opted to just mod my fenders instead of dropping down to 265, which would have solved the issue I think.
I don't think you'll get 285 to work, so if you do change them, do yourself a favor and drop down to 265s and save yourself the hassle of taking a grinder to your fenders.
