Not sure if there's one specifically for the IS, but there are DIYs for other cars in google. The method is the same. There's also DIY on e90post that gained exposure on Autoblog. I read through the post as it gives opinions on the types of vinyl to use.

Yeah, thats the thread. It should give you the general basics of how to do it. Of course there are secrets that only the professionals know.

I can give you a full run down and secrets to wrapping

But of course you have to be familiar with vinyl and have a steady hand.

Simple question, but how do you cut the edges? I mean for full body panels i get that you can wrap around, but in heartmyis' case, where she did it to the countour, how do you cut to that edge?

^ a steady hand, it has to be done in one continuos cut/trim you can't stop. It is cut while the vinyl is on car not going too deep but deep enough to tear vinyl off after.

The surface if you cut too hard. Those little splicers are sharp!

I checked the ones for the e90's and ya it looks quite similar. But do you guys think removing the shark fin cover and trim in the run off will be the same or is there a special way for that?
