Turning in leased 2009 F-Sport for 2010 250 with Nav/BT
Hey guys...I'm exploring the idea of doing kind of a crazy trade. Last year I did a 48 month lease on a 2009 250 and then got all the F-Sport parts for the car. For the past few months, my fiancée has been driving it because her car died and I've been driving my work truck. I'm interested in getting her a 250 with the new hard drive based Nav and Bluetooth and without the F-Sport parts cause she hates the suspension. I'm wondering what issues I'll run into, or fees, if I basically swap my 2009 for a 2010...250 or 350 with that Nav package. I am ahead of my miles by a lot...I know...stupid, but...I planned on doing a buy out eventually because the numbers looked good when I signed. I called the dealer and asked if this is an issue and they said no, that they just do a trade in on it. However, I do have about $9000 in all Lexus f-Sport parts on the car...I know that to them this is only worth about half, if that. If you guys could shed some light, that'd be great. Thanks!

i say buy it out since u plan on it... then sell the F-Sport stuff then trade it... that way if you have a good deal on buying out and selling the f-sport stuff... it'll all be good

You are looking at flushing money down the toilet.
Is it worth thousands of dollars for the HDD Nav and bluetooth? A $200 portable nav is just as good (about) as the OEM Lexus unit.
If she doesn't like the suspension... well, swap your parts with another member on here. Even if you paid a mechanic to do the work for you, it'll cost MUCH less than what you are considering. All you'd really need to do is trade out the springs and shocks, anyways... the rest of the F-sport stuff doesn't have hardly any effect on the "ride". In fact, you'd probably come out ahead on that one.
Or, you could just get her another vehicle for around the same amount of money you're looking at losing by trading in a 1 year old car with expensive aftermarket parts.
The last option would be to not do anything... it's unfortunate her car died, but hell, she's driving around in a Lexus while you are in a barebones truck.
