Default just got a 07 is 250

hey everyone, i recently bought a black 07 IS 250. really happy with the decision, just wanted to say hello to everyone here on CL

i have a couple of questions, i sometimes hear rattles coming from the passenger side door, i have looked at a few threads on the situation and i'm planning to pick up some silicone lubricant spray to see if that works before taking it to the dealer, has anyone had success with this? second question is that the brake on the IS don't feel as sensitive as i thought they would be, is this normal for the car? (last owner just had the brakes changed in the dealership)

thanks

wsup stephen! lol

Rattles are normal with this car, many have them, get used to it! I would suggest to take it to the dealer first; they should install some felt to lessen the noise. If that doesn't work do whatever you want.

As for brakes, I've had an IS250 loaner car and the brakes are complete mush compared to the 350's; with the 250 there is some initial hesitation whereas with the 350 there is a sudden jolt when breaking. Just my experience, I think its normal.

Welcome and congrats. If you feel the 250 brakes are inadequate, you could always upgrade to the 350 brakes.

There's nothing wrong with the brakes on the 250. If they feel mushy, they need to be looked at (might need bleeding, or some other problem). Take it in to the dealer and have them fix it. I take it the car is still under warranty?
