Help me decide HIDs - 4300K Phillips or 5000K XD
I'm going back and forth every hour on which kit to buy from Xenondepot, the Xtreme 5000k or the 4300k phillips kit. Ideally a colorshifted Phillips would best since I want that 4700~5000k look now!!
Aside from the light color, is there any downside to XD's 5k bulb vs Phillips? Could the cutoff and the light dispersement remain same?
I suppose I could try the 5K out and always get the phillips later if I don't like it. I'm just so confused...

Ya it is Phillips. Right now i'm thinking 5k, i can always change it later.
I can't do 6k, too blue for me, I just want a little hint of blue and still have enough lumen output. I'm getting 3k fogs to match

The higher the Kelvin rating, the less usable light output you get. I switched from a 4300K kit to a 6000K kit and it seems so much dimmer. Personally, I would go with the 4300K kit.

Hi bichoo,
The HID bulbs used in the Xtreme HID kit all use German made, Philips anti-uv quartz glass. UV Quartz Glass provides more light on the road as well as the highest level of resistance to vibrations, extremes of temperature, and risks of explosion. Philips UV-blocking Quartz Glass filters out the ultraviolet rays that are potentially damaging to modern plastic head lighting units. Lower grade HID bulbs do not use proper quartz glass to save costs and will end up damaging your vehicle's headlamps over time and burning out prematurely.
The Xtreme HID kit that uses German made Philips HID bulbs uses genuine Philips bulbs. This kit does not use Chinese made bulbs advertised as being Philips like many vendors you see selling online. German made Philips HID bulbs have a unique shape to them and look completely different then Asian made bulbs. These bulbs will color shift over time meaning that they will reach color temperatures of up to 4700k within approximately 100 hours.
To answer your question, you really cannot go wrong either way however the 4300k Philips bulbs will get you a slightly brighter light output.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Thanks Steve. I think i'm gonna go with the 5K kit and try it out for a while, its cheaper too. If I find the lumens isn't enough, I can always just swap out for the 4300k phillips. Pictures on here don't do justice and I definitely wanna see how a 5K HID and 3K Fogs look like!

They should look sick.
On my mom's RX she has 4300k lows and 5000k fogs and I'm thinking of trying to find 5000k d4s bulbs but I can't find any. I think when it comes time to change fogs though I'll probaly just go with 4300k to get them to match. They match close enough.
