Default moisture in headlight

i recently found a little bit of moisture in my driver side headlight ...

could i remove it myself ?
or once moisture gets in its better to claim warranty to replace it ?

how big of a damage could it be to my headlights if its just a little bit?

thanks

you know those silica packets? you can use those to absorb moisture.

did you mod your headlights in any way? maybe the dust cover is not tight.

There is a thread that talks about this.

Did you install aftermarket HIDs where you drilled a hole in your headlight cover? I had moisture in my headlights for this reason. First I used a hair dryer and blew into the housing from the cover. Then, I took those tiny white bags that are used to keep food fresh and moisture out and taped them to the inside of the headlight covers. Then I redid my seal for the rubber grommet with duct tape. Haven't had moisture for the past 6 months.

yaa i was gonna stick some in there with double sided tape ...

i changed the light that comes on when the HIDS are on ... i probably didn't shut the dust cover tight enough ...

is there a lasting damage now that there is moisture in there?

should i just get them replaced while i can just in casE?

I can't be certain, but I had the moisture in my housing for a good month. Mine still works perfectly.

if it's OEM HID and you just changed out the bulbs... and no aftermarket HID kits.. it's better to get it warrantied... IMO

my headlight was replaced after someone hit my car. less than a year later i had moisture in the headlight that was replaced. After a few weeks my hid went out. I took it to the shop that did the work, and lexus replaced the headlight and hid bulb for me. Thank god cause i heard the headlight is about 1000 from the dealer.

I'm assuming the moisture is just in the light casing and not the actual light itself. In the casing, the moisture won't hurt your lights in any form or fashion; it's just a cosmetic thing if it bothers you the way it looks. If it doesn't bother you than just let it be, but if it is covered under a warranty than why not get them replaced for free?

I had moisture in my headlight casing on my old junker car for years and had 0 problems.

hmm if thers no damage then i'll try fixing it my self first ...
i just feel bad for claiming warranty for something i probably caused ..

and because i dropped a LED in to the headlight assembly and i think it fell through the gaps in between the high beam area and the front :P
