The worst thing Lexus could do is make the IS line "smooth." The whole point of the IS was to show Lexus could make a sportier car. Many reviews opine that it's still not firm enough.

Yeah, I don't think the IS will ever be "smooth" in that sense. The market that car's marketed towards isn't looking for that. Buyers looking for a smooth ride would probably be shopping either an ES or maybe even an LS.

IS for sure won't be as smooth as ES because it's a sports sedan, ES is a family car. BMW suspension is even more stiffer than the IS.
