if you live in a pothole city..make sure you get some nice FORGED 2 or 3pc wheels...also make sure they are not welded together on the back. Forged wheels can take the impact of a pothole, but if you do get bends or curbs you can just take it apart and get the lips taken care of.

while I do agree with you, 1 piece wheels aren't done with if they get a bend. you don't have to throw them out and buy a new one.

these guys can fix bent rims/curb rash ect... i've used them and they are

when you buy goods from the US, you shouldn't have to pay duties. only taxes. since the company that imported the goods would have paid duties when they imported them outside of north america at the port of entry. customs agents sometimes do not know this.

if you're shipping from the US and it's not USPS. you can brokerage the packages yourself to save some money.

when it comes to wheels, buy brand names or stay stock.i have seen too many cheap wheels on IS here in toronto, they just don't look right on our cars, with $3000 you can get work wheels, not multi-piece but 1 pc, and yes work wheels are not the lightest but very strong, i hit multiple poth holds last week cus constructions everywhere here, no bents or nothing

I wouldn't shoot three thousand bucks on wheels in an area laden with potholes, especially, low profile ones that are prone to damage. Just get some heavy cheap cast rims that look good and when one (or more) get busted up you can laugh (or cuss a little) instead of crying (and mortgaging the farm). Like the OP cited even BBS LMs are no match for potholes and have no doubt those are strong wheels.

Well guys, I think i've concluded. I'm going to go with some Linea Corse's. They look pretty slick, and they're pretty cheap to replace. As much as it'd be nice to slip a set of iforges on there, the roads here are just too crappy to justify it. Also, I counted how many potholes I saw on my drive into the city's downtown. 37. Cheaper ones it is

I appreciate the input everyone!

I kinda like the 818's. The have a nice concave look, and the 10" in the back is pretty badass stagger IMO. The Varianza reps are nice too. And for $1300/set, they're not unreasonable. I'm assuming all those wheels are TPMS compatible... ?
