Can tire shops set up the second set of TPMS or do you have to go the dealership to do this?

Bartec sells a generic TPMS tool (the Tech 400) that has the ability to program the Lexus system, but only a handful of tire shops have them. From what I understand, Discount Tire is one chain that has started to equip their shops with these.

Sometimes if I knew that I was driving longer than that, I would pull over and turn off the car and restart it to fool the system to give me an extra 30 mins.
interesting. thanks for the input!

yes discount tire and americas tire has these because they broke one of my sensors and replaced it on the spot and reprogrammed my system with the new one. The tool has to scan all the sensors ID by holding it next to the sensor and then reprograms it to the car via OBD2 port.
