Rubbed a Hole in my Fender Liner - Big Problem?

At first I had multiple holes as well.
My fender liners actually melted on my Z.. rubbing + racing it.
Eventually one of them ripped off while going about 90+mph.
What I did was look for empty holes in the metal behind the fender liner, then screwed my fender liner to the hole. Sounds iffy but it worked perfectly and never melted another fender liner again. But the catch is you have to screw the liner back far enough so your tires wont hit screw, or buy flat head screws or whatever they are called.
