Can I get the trunk light anywhere else besides vled? I dont think they sell them anymore. They are sold out with no preorder ability or even page compared to the other stuff that is sold out.

Hmmm... thanks for bringing this to my attention. Looks like it's discontinued, and there's no direct replacement out yet. I'll keep my eyes peeled if one pops up.

In the interim, Xenon Depot sells an LED that works in the trunk: https://www.kbcarstuff.com/ProductDe...uctCode=980112. Nigel's LED boards also work: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...-exterior.html

Both are plenty bright.

For the trunk, try this one:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...-p7975517.html

It's listed as 29mm long, which would be a perfect fit. I ordered the 5K version (http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...-p6754410.html), hoping it would be 29mm also, but it's more like 31.

^ Interesting, I'll try that 29mm version out sometime. My only gripe is that it won't be as bright. Also, even at 29mm, I suspect the sides will still need to be hammered in a little.

whats the sellers name? I bought those from i_jdm_toy on ebay and they are awesome! The seller has sold about 18,000 of these LEDs and has a 99.8 rating. So they must be doing something right. I would suggest getting the upgraded lighting kit though. Make sure you get LED boards shown in the beginning of this thread, not those other crappy ones. You want the Super Bright Deluxe white LED kit. If you cant find them in there ebay store PM me and ill help you find them on there website. Ive only had them in for about 3 weeks and so far so good. Plus the kit is only $40, cant beat the price.

Yeah, those should work just fine for your parking lights. I bought my Garax low beam replacement bulbs from i_jdm_toy, he's legit.

Happy to help! I swapped out the lights in my girlfriend's Civic too as a "surprise" and she loves it haha.

Thanks for posting this. I swapped out my lights yesterday. I used the 1W versions for the domes and it's still very bright. I am tempted to use just one 1W bulb in the front, or one 2W. The 6K looks really good with that hint of blue and I love being able to actually see the puddle lights!

brociouz,

When you compare your 6000K interiors to the OEM reading lights, are they an exact match? or is are the OEM's closer to a 5000K color temp?

I'm torn between 6000K and 5000K, but like the factory reading lights color temperature.

BTW, thanks for this awesome post.

^ You're welcome. I'll take a closer look tonight when I get home, but I remember the match being really close with 6000K.
