thanks for the clarification but why do people buy colour halogen? so when they high beam it's a different colour?
People buy color halogens for bulbs that are going to be on at 100% power (like low beams and fogs) so they show their true color luminosity. Since the drl bulb isn't reaching it's full luminosity, it will still look yellow.
^ Steve, what do you mean it depends on the bulb? You're talking about halogen bulbs that are of some ridiculous color temp so that in "DRL mode" they appear white?
Let me clear by saying that no halogen bulb will look like HID or be a perfect match. Some of our customers have installed the Putco Mirror White or Nitro blue bulbs and are happy with the color output.
Yup. It's just a question of what you are expecting. The bulbs will have a "cooler" tone than your stock halogen bulbs however it's not as if they're going to look like HIDs.
