Default Work, ssr, iss, iforged?

I'm going to pick up a set of new rims before I get comfortable and procrastinate. That and this will be one of the bigger purchase that I would like to take off my list. I want to go with 19" rims. From what I understand is that 18" are better as far as performance, ride quality, and gas goes. Is it that much of a difference? I am an aggressive driver at times so I just want to be sure these 19" will hold up. All of the rims I have choose will have a lip so I am worried about bending one from hitting a pot hole. For the measurements I don't know what will work best. I know that I don't want to do any fender mods for now, or should I do it and not worried? I am also debating on step lip or straight lip. I only see the SSR MS1 in step lip, can they be straight lip?

The choices I have are:

WORK VS-XX
SSR MS1
IFORGED Swift, Seneka, Astra, Aero
ISS Spyder

I plan on doing black face with a chrome lip. I don't know how much offset I can do with the lip to not have any fender mod. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know as far as measurements and brand.

Thanks

vs-xx step lip or iforged. do fender work.

if you do it right the first time, you'll be happier down the line.

kinda like ppl who buy springs first and end up selling them and gettin coilovers later. shouldve done it in the first place!

step-lip is a lot stronger than reverse lip (flat lip) because it will hold better during an impact such as pot holes...so you should get the new Work VS-XX Step-Lip!

Wow, ^^those must be really really new. I didnt' see them when I was on the hunt for my, what... 3rd set of wheels? lol... They are pretty hot!

OP - sounds liked your into Mesh wheels. Good for you. The right kind of mesh looks hot on our cars and makes it go from a 'clean sporty' look to an 'aggressive sporty' look, IMO.

You have nice brands in your choice list and you can't go wrong with any of them. If ISS Forged is on there, check out 360 Forged - same price range with awsome designs. Just don't buy the 360 Forged Mesh 8's, they are mine! lol... j/k, j/k

My advice: Seach through the threads, look for cars rocking these wheels and compare. See what makes you think "these are the one!"

Its thousands of dollars and you know your taste better then anyone else. Look, obsesse, & dig for pics, save em' all up somewhere and compare. Thats what I did.

Brombacher isn't brand new, I've seen it in a 2008 Work magazine, or 2009, don't remember.

Brombacher for me. If you're driving the streets of LA it's nice to know you have a strong wheel barrel.
