Yes, without the O2 sensor extensions. But it goes away once you do this:




You can also purchase Hi-Flo cats along with your headers. I assume this will negate a CEL as well.

wait... i really wish i had known this... I just had my cats and resonator removed on my 2is and had a borla exhaust put in. I need cats for emissions checks?

And what is CEL? and what does it have to do with the headers?

^^First of all, do you even have emissions in HI? If not don't worry about it. And CEL is check engine light.

(doesn't mean shops don't still do it though)

So yeah, your car is violation of federal law at the moment.

Now, if your state checks that or not is another story.

If your state doesn't look then they won't be able to tell from a tailpipe sniff though.

lmao thank god. i looked up emmisions in HI and they are non-existant. not a single smog check. ever. haha, cant believe i couldnt put 1 and 1 together on the CEL thing. who feels dumb!? *pick me pick me*

Im definetly getting the black ceramic headers. im putting in my deposit now. the guy told me he would put me on the list early. w00t w00t!

He also said they would be officially announcing this on CL soon. not sure how soon "soon" IS, but, its coming!

This header is so tempting...... Only problem for me is installation. Since I live in a really small city in Utah, I can't find any good mechanics around here.. I'm so scared they mess up wth it.
I wish I live in California...
