IS250's on 20's (Noticeable weight issues?)
I'm thinking about picking up a set of HREs in 20" but the only hesitation I have is the weight of the wheels after. I am currently on 19's but they are the Volk GT series which from what know, are on the heavy side for 19's already. Will there be a noticeable difference in fuel efficiency or handling?
Or maybe I should stick with 19's like the vast majority of ISX50s?

Hells yeah there's going to be a fuel efficiency with 20s! LOL IMO handling, gas, ride comfort is affected.

iSuxeL,
Are you on 20's now??? I forgot about the ride comfort issue. More hesitation now...
Thanks for your input.

No, 19s. I will never do 20s on the IS, it's way too big IMO. And yes I know it's subjective.

Wouldn't you also say, they style of rim makes a 20 look even bigger? I've got 20's on the way and I'm praying to God they don't look to big.
20's on the below pic, look I'm going for. What's your take on those?

I really like the look Dunkin, it think it really fills in the wheel well nicely. But you're right about the style playing a part. I'm going for the HRE 540s but iSuxeL brought up a good point with the noise issue.

Way to big for my tastes. Do you expect 20"s to look small?? They're 20"s!!

Like I mentioned above, the style rim can actually make a 20 look like a 22. I've seen many 20's here that look perfect. I've also seen 19's that look like ***.

That's why you compensate with a more aggressive drop instead of having a bigger wheel that'll waste more gas and give you a worse ride.

This is where I have to disagree with you. A so called "luxury" car doesn't look right slammed on the ground.
Slammed is for trucks

Not to mention that so called "luxury" car shouldn't ride like a old pick up truck or old slammed Civic.

I never said slammed. I said lower the car to compensate the gap.
