I <3 Haters

 

i've had a lexus since i was 19 bought and paid for by myself. Never had anyone hate just assume i was rich or daddy bought it (as if) now i'm on my 2nd IS but this one is turbo and has lots of mods. Now people say you have 2 lexus! But no haters maybe just jealous lol.

 

I'm young at heart, not feeling the hate.

 

when i went to the beach for senior week - i graduated in 09, i went to the senior week this year aswell - i had a bunch of people say MY car is my dads car and what not. i find it funny and laugh it off since iv paid for everything for my cars, including the cars since i was 16. im 19 now and have gone through 3 cars.. saturn, honda, lexus. im moving up in the world

 

People are probably just jealous that they aren't fortunate enough to have parents who buy them a Lexus at that age. I remember when I was in high school, a friend of mine got a brand new IS300 for her 16th birthday and I was jealous for sure since i was driving a '94 Camry that I had to work and pay for. Just don't brag and you'll be fine

 

People will be people. I've had someone repeatedly ask me how much I paid for my car, even though I said I don't divulge that information. Another person claimed that I was "bragging" about my car when I literally didn't tell anyone about it, unless they saw me in it. People will make assumptions, but you know what's true or not. Small minds will be quick to judge. Just go about your days and don't let them bring you down.

OP - let me ask you a question. Do you work and pay for your car & insurance on your own dime, or does your parents pay for it?

If you pay on your own dime, and work for your car then screw what they think.

If you mommy & daddy pay for it, then I understand the hate'n. Your viewed as a spoiled kid.

I would have to agree that being 17 without a job and having mommy/daddy paying for your insurance and car is a tad on the spoiled side, don't ya think?

But then again, if you work and pay for your car/insurance - more power to ya!

Seen too many of these posts. If youre in high school, and drive an expensive car, you're just askin for it. Whether or not you pay for it yourself (although i find it hard to believe any high school student could pay for the car & insurance every month, not impossible, but i feel like it would be every penny earned), you'll eventually come across some kind of hatred/jealousy.

First car was a 91 Corolla... then got a 92 SC400 n i started driving when i was a senior in highschool.. looked at all the other kids that drive bimmers n Mercedes n Lexus's.. n yea dislike how stuck up they were.

So i worked my glutes off n bought my own Lexus GS400 during college :].. now i see the same peeps with the nice cars working at fast food places n im thinking.. life aint so bad after all ill have a #2 with animal style please :]

How can you afford a brand spanking new Lexus at 17? Hell even Bill Gates, Donald Trump, or Steve Jobs can't afford a nice car when they were 17 and look at where they are now lol. So how can people not hate? Spoiled *** brat is the first thing coming into their mind.

I got mine working full time in college, people used to try to get on my nerve and its understandable. A lot of people think Lexus starts at 60k USD believe it or not.

Now people still probably hate, but I don't notice anymore because ever since I mod I drive WOT everywhere to hear my intake and exhaust, and when someone cuts into my lane I honk with my hella supertone lmao. I too busy being a **** to notice the jealousy stares

 

I'm 20 and get looks a lot when I drive. I look younger than my age so that doesn't help much either haha.

Even when I'm parked I get a lot of looks, I think mostly because of my license plate frame, but I enjoy it.

Whether it be getting love or hate, your car is getting attention!
