i Bought my 350 that was in 06 SEMA.
Full Kit, Wheels, Exhaust, Tints, Drop, CF Hood, CF Trunk Spoiler.
Lol i actually didn't get hated on that much, just Props from lots of people.
Theres always a few haters though, just ignore them. I always do.
Lots of people also claim that my parents pay for all my parts, which is anything but true because my parents are totally against Rims/Kits/Exhausts, according to them, its a waste of money.. lol

to be honest it's just envy. obviously a kid in high school didn't pay for the car himself, if there's mods most likely his parents are paying for it one way or another (remember getting "allowances"?). it's not hate being thrown your way it's more like a wtf.

my best friend in HS, who i don't see anymore, just drifted apart afterwards. was the only dude who hated on me for my car lmao.... some best friend right?
otherwise i just got compliments from most ppl had the car since i was 18 and i'm 20 now
it helps that i can say that i paid for it myself, not mommy and daddy. which is true. it reduces the hate you get
oh also ISx50's arn't really that expensive anymore.... you can get an 06 for relatively cheap. my car is only worth 24k if that... its pretty depressing. but everybody still kinda views them as expensive luxury cars since the body styling hasn't changed much thank god haha

I get this crap and I'm 26. A lot of people on my HOA are like that to me as well because I have a nice house, 3 cars and a bike. I say screw them, they can be bitter all they want. Everything I have is paid for by me. Some people don't like to see young people who are succeeding equal to or better than themselves

Nothing wrong with being young (under 22) and driving an IS. It's actually very typical for a young personto drive a IS or mecedes C class here in Socal. The IS line are the cheapest among the lexus family.
Most people just probably think your parents are rich and you're a spoil brat because they bought it for you.

got my 06 is250 for my first car at 17. now im 18 people are jealous. ignore them and enjoy having our cars at such a young age! i would b so angry if i had to downgrade to a toyota or something... haha i guess u can say im pretty spoiled i only paid 5k out of 20k :P
