I just got my car back. Yeeesss!!!!

I realize how much I love it compared to my rental car (Chrysler 300). I used to think my car was big and heavy. It is alot smaller than the 300 and lighter. I thought I was driving my Civic again. Plus the suspension feels stiffer in my IS, another reason for me to love. 300 felt like driving a boat.

The shop did a really good job with the repairs. The paint match and alignment was perfect. But I think they also took my car for a joy ride. The ECT was set on POWER mode and they was about 80 miles extra on the ODO.

I know they need to road test but that seems a bit much
I took my other car to a body shop for a touch up job and it's clearly they drove it without a reason and the engine was warm when I picked it up, well it must be cool to drive my car out for lunch! Beware of some body shops.. I have heard of this happens to others also.

Congrats. I would see what you can do about the 80+ miles. That is not needed. I left my car at a body shop for 2 weeks for paint work and my car was not even a mile over. I took a picture of the exact mileage when I dropped it off and check again when I picked up.

I was looking at the pics and notice that the Camary was in previous rear end scrap. (driver side, rear bumper) This person really does not now how to back up correctly.

^^ Exactly... if they can't back up correctly, at least, do it slowly so the other guy can swerve and stop in time.

I sent an e-mail to the shop owner to see what they'll say. Perhaps one of his employees decided to have fun in my car without his knowledge.

I already notice some paint inperfection... there is specs of dirt trapped in the clear coat. Someone didn't paint it in a clean room. I didn't expect it from a shop that repairs high end Benz, BMW and Porsche. Time to bring my car in again.
