Default dealership performed induction cleaning & claims it's more thorough than tsib, true?

I just heard back from lexus corporate about my car still idling rough and trying to stall after an induction service and cleaning. They said that the dealership claims the induction service that they performed is more thorough than the rough idle tsib's procedure. Can anyone mechanical out there verify this?

was this a service performed at a cost to you? when i used to have a honda prelude the dealer would always recommend it when i'd bring the car in but at a cost of $100 - $150 so i always declined

no, they did it under warranty since it's a lexus and shouldn't be almost stalling out or idling rough starting at 25k miles when i started to experience the ongoing issue.

ok good, just making sure it wasnt just a money making service the dealership was putting you thru claiming it was a fix

no they seem honestly concerned and embarrassed about this problem. the car was in the shop getting the induction service done when the tsib came out so they didn't know about it to even do it at that point. i just want to know that this isn't an early symptom of a more serious problem down the road. at 47k now and thinking the extended warranty is even more of a good idea now.

Wouldn't the powertrain warranty cover this issue?

The 47K is for bumper to bumper.
