The retardedly high resale value of the 2IS is why I bought mine new. It was literally not worth buying a used one at the time.

At the dealer near me, they have a certified '09 IS250 sitting on the lot with 20k miles it, and they are asking a few hundred MORE for it than what I am paying for them for a brand new 2010 AFTER taxes and delivery charge!

The only options that one has that mine doesn't is maple trim (which I specifically wanted metal so that doesn't matter) and heated/cooled seats (which I would gladly take but not pay extra for). However, if I look up KBB these extras would add very little to resale, even after the first year, over how mine is configured (which is basically the base model plus 18" rims and rear spoiler).

That's not to say they sticker price on the used one is not inflated to leave haggling room, surely it is and I know they will take less than that, but probably not a great deal less, particularly since they will warranty it to 100k.

For me there was never any other option but to go new. And I got the price I wanted in just a few minutes on the phone without even stepping foot in the dealership (until later that is, to put a deposit and get the paperwork going).
