Nav touch functionality stopped working after Pedal recall
Here is some back story: I took my 2006 IS350 in a few weeks ago to have the recall done on the pedal and when I was 10 miles away from the dealership I noticed that my nav screen did nothing when I touched it. Now I doubt they had to do anything around that area but I also noticed they clicked the button in my glove compartment to lock the trunk for some reason.
Luckily, I have a 100k warranty and the nav screen was fixed today for free. Total bill $2100 so it is very good I had the 100k warranty. I can't believe that stuff costs that much but do you guys think they sabotaged it in some way? Why the heck would they lock my drunk to replace a gas pedal?

^^^ Did you have any expensive items? Maybe the service manager locked it up to prevent the technicians from reaching in there.
As for the Navi, that sounds right. The Finance guy tried to sell me extended warranty and warned me that the Navi would cost me 3000 bucks if it goes bad. I told him "Mine doesn't have one."

You're probably looking way too much into this. My Nav screen just went bad as well, I think it's a definite problem in these cars. Unfortunately my GPS antenna fell out of the back so I don't get any signal. Now I have to drive 40 min back to the Lexus dealer to get it fixed. I am NOT happy... But the nav screen thing is very normal. So a search. As far as the glove box, maybe they were getting in there to update a maintenance pamphlet or something and bumped it.
