Hey guys,

My wife has been having issues with her new iphone 4 with the OS4. When talking through the cars mic, folks on the other end struggle to hear her? We have an 2008 IS350 with NAV and no ML. She called apple and they mentioned many folks are complaining about similar issues not just in lexus'.

Any thoughts?

I have ip4 also and haven't use bt with my car. I think the cause could be the noise cancellation microphone on top of iphone. try covering the hole and see if it works. still not a good solution.

2006 IS350 w/Nav. I have a new iPhone 4, NO issues here. Try and delete the phone in the nav screen. Then re authorize it, maybe it will correct the problem.

Thanks guys for the respones. We tried what you mentioned above and no luck. I will try it once more but it sounds like a glitch in the new iphone 4's BT hardware considering my iphone 3GS with the new OS4 works just fine?

The wife is going to contact Lexus to see if they have heard of any more issues related to this.

No problems in my '06. Try deleting the pairing and start from scratch.

i use my iphone4 over BT, but does anyone know if you can control the next and previous songs from the stereo buttons? right now i have to use my phone to forward songs.

Got my iPhone 4, (not 4G), and when I get calls through my BT, the person on the other end says that I sound muffled and can barely hear me. I can hear the other person perfectly fine. I have not changed my settings since my last iPhone and that one worked perfectly.

Any ideas?

I've gone through all iPhone generations in my 2008 IS-F with ML system (previous NAV) and my experience has been like this:

iPhone, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4: no difference, good call quality, fast pairing, no dropped calls.
iPhone 3G: dropped calls, phone got disconnected from the car without any reason, so so call quality, when answering a call through the car the call was available after 1 or 2 seconds, not immediately.

There are no new features in terms of the phones and the car, still no option to send contacts to the ML system so you need to enter them manually.
