hey guys. i just installed my 6000K lowbeams and 6000k fogs...only to find that the colors were pretty far off. the 6000k lowbeam had a blueish tint to it while the 6000k fogs had a pure white (like a 5000k color) color to it. i was wondering how to fix this problem? should i buy 8000k fogs to hopefully get the blue tint? is the color difference due to the fact that the lowbeams are projectors and the fogs are regular reflector lamps?
I think if u use 8k for both low beam and foglight it would be the same
But 6k would never be the same cause the "projectors" and the 6k color is white so when it go through the projectors make them kinda blue
high-quality bulbs will have a properly-rated color temperature and thus a consistent color and brightness, while inferior bulbs will not. i've used several different brands of D4S bulbs, and the one that i can recommend without hesitation is Garax.
the difference in how light is projected/reflected will contribute to a difference in color, albeit a slight yet noticeable one.
^^^hmm in some pics they match great! but in others the fogs give off the tealish blue color. which is exactly what my fogs are giving out =\ while my lowbeams are more blueish. does blacking out the housings make a difference?
