Do you have OEM HID lows or just OEM Halogens?
Should've definitely saved yourself the time, and how old are you btw?
Hopefully you're paying for everything out of your own pocket instead of out of parent's money.

I thought 2007+ IS had HIDs option standard. Try to return the HIDs you got and get HIDXtra kits instead, they're a vendor and better, and hit up another member for install or you can look through the DIYs if you're handy.
A lot of times my parents notice mods weeks or even months after I do them, and they ask about it, and I'm just like, oh yeah...I forgot when I did that haha.

Good ish! I'm 20 and every one was paid for by myself. To be honest, I don't follow my parent's advice when it comes to modding because their way usually is better, but is also $$$$$ whereas mine usually is good and $$.

Sounds like the shop really didn't know what they were doing. I'd test the hid's yourself just to make sure it doesn't work before you ask for a refund. Nothing like spending $$$ to ship it back just to find out they work and you get stuck with shipping the same ones back to you.

i would def. try to find somebody who knows how to or at least get them to to hook it up to make sure they are working or not... a friend of mine installed some hids recently and started panicking because they didn't work so i took a looky and found out he had the wires reversed leading to the oem plug... it would suck if you spent all that time (to ship back and forth) and money to find out that they installed it wrong... i would say find a more reputable shop next time and do some research.

And sorry to hear about all the hassle - I've been there before, believe me. There's no way that you'll get reimbursement for the labor, it just needs to be chalked up as an expensive lesson.
