to be honest that definately should NOT have taken more than 1-2 hours with removal of the front bumper. you must have a friend somewhere that knows how to put an HID kit on that can help you out. my buddies and i have bought more than we can count piece of junk HID kits from ebay and they've all worked for at least a few months prior to frying.

and i'm sure for $300 you could of flown a CL member down from say california and back, bought him some lunch and had the installation done properly haha

Man What is all this talk of removing the front bumper! It is completely unnecessary.

I'll never understand why people buy these aftermarket kits when Lexus makes a fully warranted option you can buy that doesn't interfere with the steering, doesn't require any effort on the owner's part, and will be fixed by Lexus at no charge if anything goes wrong.

Oh, and since it was designed from jump to support HID, the light pattern and aiming all work correctly too...

So good news guys
Apparently the guy that installed my light had no idea what he was doing and wanted to look like a "big shot" to his boss (that's why it took so damn long and still didn't work)
So long story short I got them removed, and got my money back =)

Tommorow I'm paying this one guy I know $20 to help me install them.

I will post pics as soon as there on!!

i cannot believe that a "professional" installer thought it necessary to to that for a simple 1/2 hr to 45 minute install

i did my fog lamps, low, and high beams(with HID relay) in well under 4 hours myself.

WOW....just WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Car shops are very quick to blame products. I would suggest swapping the ballasts left to right to verify whether it is actually the culprit. Be careful about what HID kit you buy for your Lexus. There have been some members on this board that have had problems with radio interference and power steering after installing a low grade HID kit.

Are you in Houston? If so, what shop did you go to?
