so this problem has grown to having the ticking/grinding noise to when stationary, brakes applied and turning the steering wheel....

has anyone figured out what this problem is ?

my warranty is almost over and i'm worried that if i bring it in to dealer they are just going to blame my coilovers

Bump on this. I have front driver grinding when turning. Should I need new pads at 45k is450? Any updates?

I posted the solution I had a while ago to very similar symptoms that you are having- "FINALLY fixed it after replacing the front brake caliper bracket boots and pin bolts. " The noise was making me CRAZY!

Did you do this yourself or at the dealer? Can you post a copy of your dealer invoice.....I've been trying to get this fixed at my dealer.... Did you get this done under warranty?

Thanks

I am unable to post the invoice which is 3 pages long. I had a groaning/creaking sound when going slow and turning right sharply. Dealer performed numerous road tests with "engine ears" and checked struts, rack, tie rods, ball joints, struts, springs, contol arms, sway bar bushing/mounts and tried lubricating many areas until they found it to be the front brake caliper brackets boots and pin/bolts. I also gave up on 1st dealer and took it to dealer in Pleasanton, CA. The work was done under warranty and noise has not returned.

Check your dust shield.

I had the same problem with the ticking/grinding noise.
