Nice 350z, still a very nice and fast car, and since you wanted HP, you definately get more of it. Kind of curious though, why not trade in for a 350? 100 more HP, 6 more than the 300HP 350z, heavier, but all the comforts of a Lexus.

money haha, im 19 and in college, i got a straight trade so i lost no money. and i didnt want the same car with a diff engine, i like to get new things, the z is my fourth car and im not even 20 yet, i just keep swapping rides when i get bored. i can understand most would say downgrade but, i have a tunable engine now so im very happy i plan on having this for awhile though

and yes i plan on upgrading the 18 tsw's to either 19' or 20's. something concave, im tired of the lips

Congrats, Z is a fun car. In my case I switch from a fully loaded 350Z to a fully loaded IS350, lol.

Here's what my Z looks like (before it was lowered), C-west kit, INGS cf hood, Works Wheels, lowered on Tein S-Tech. I got compliment on it almost on a daily basis, lol.

That's a stupid way to loose money, don't make the same mistake like me, lol. I used to do the same thing u do, by the time I was 19 I already have own 7 cars, the Z is my 8th and the current IS350 is my 9th.

Now, looking back if I added up all the money that I spend on each cars, the down payment, etc, I could easily be driving an Aston Martin Vantage, 911, Merc SL55, or even a new M3 already. Resist the temptation and stick with a car so later on you can buy something MUCH nicer easily.

I couldn't help notice that in the IS it looks like you had your dual-zone set on 85 degrees! (hard to tell though). You Floridians like it warm I guess

I miss the 6 speed manual, but I LOVE MY IS!

Now that you have a Z you can run 11"+ wheels in in the back.

I had a Z too, now I'm gettin' the missus an IS250.

Too many mods to list! The aftermarket for the Z is huge...and you can get some pretty good power out of the VQ35. It's a lot of fun.

I don't get this. Too much money for an IS350, yet you plan on doing all of this...

well first plans are audio upgrade. the sound in the z is nothing compared to the lexus haha. after audio ill prob go intake manifold, throttle body, intake, some headers. just a bunch of bolts on before i start building the motor. then i may get some dry carbon fiber wrap going haha, bring a little IS style over and of course the led swap and hid setup to save some luxury haha!
If you wanted the Z, that's fine. But I don't see how you can claim it was the prudent financial decision, especially when the money you are planning to spend on the Z adds near zero value, whereas what you would have spent on the IS350 has some salvage value.

Anyways, good luck with your new car!

Z is a fun car. I almost bought one before I got my IS. But the blind spot on that car is horrible, and vertical door handle must go. Aside from that it's a fast car.
