Default Got rid of my baby :( on to new toy :)

I recently sold my is250 and picked up an 05 350z. the lexus was definitely my baby but i wanted a little more power. plus im young so ill come back to luxury when im a little older haha. it had 10k less miles and a clean title while the lex had two wrecks.

anyways heres some pics of the lex and z. ill miss her but i think i have a lot of fun ahead. all my friends thought i was crazy until they rode in the z and i love it already

and yes the back bumper is damaged in the pics lol

and heres a few quick shots of the z

Sad to see the IS250 go but the 350Z is a fun car to drive What are your plans for it? Looks like you have rims and exhaust already.

yeah its so much fun. well first plans are audio upgrade. the sound in the z is nothing compared to the lexus haha. after audio ill prob go intake manifold, throttle body, intake, some headers. just a bunch of bolts on before i start building the motor. then i may get some dry carbon fiber wrap going haha, bring a little IS style over and of course the led swap and hid setup to save some luxury haha!

to let you know, front and rear speakers are the exact same size. and when replacing with aftermarket you will here more out of the rear speakers than you do the front so i suggest getting a 4 channel amp so you can control it.

I'd have to agree here. I can personally understand the statement. I came from an 06 350z. The good thing about the 05 though is that it was one of the least problematic year 350z's (not as much tire feathering). 03-04 had tire feathering problems and the 06-08 experienced oil consumption problems. Too bad the 05 didn't have the 300 hp motor. Think it was 280 for the 05 unless it was the anniversary one.

I loved my z, but soon realized that you couldn't fit crap in that tiny hatch. That and even with grandma driving, I was still averaging 21 mpg.

But whatever makes you happy is all that matters Please...for the first mod, get an s2k antenna instead of that lightning rod followed by ditching those tsw's for something else followed by a drop I ran hotchkis springs (very mild drop .8"/.6") on 19" work s1's and it was perfect. At least now you can go really low offsets with some fat lips That and doing the rear springs is quick.

If you decide to put in sounds I did a write up on how to remove the sub bracket. I built an amp rack in that compartment. Here's the link if you ever need it...

Here's an idea to get you started

That's a real pretty car. I've always had an inkling for the 350z. Was really close to getting the yellow anniversary issue. But what was a few cars from it? The IS. So I can understand your attraction to it. Congrats!

Nice Z! I had one myself, an 06 base.

I hope you don't have the 05 Anniv 6 spd. They had the same oil consumption issues as my 06 6spd did. The dealer replaced my engine twice. Just sayin....
