thanks to everyone who commented and try to help me get a good deal. anyway i went in for a oil change today and talked to an agent about the "promotion" and after the appraisal they say they'll give me 20k for my car and pay off the 10k i still owe on mine. so they're giving me 30k for my car. which is a really good deal since on kelly blue book my car in excellent condition will go for 25k. so i'm getting 5k more then my market value of my car. I looked at a couple cars and they want 12k for a used 250 w/navi or 7 for a brand new 250. so it's 2k more for a 250 with the same mileage but with navi and the color i wanted or 7k more for a brand new one. sorry guys but i think imma jump on this deal, even if paying 7k for a "downgrade". What make this deal even more enticing is the fact that i need new tires($700), new brake for the front and back, new windshield soon since mine is somewhat crack, and some paint damage due to minor accident and rock chips. to fix all this will cost a couple grand! so i think i'm getting a pretty good deal on this.
also i no i'll miss the power of the 350 but i never use that power so i dont think that'll be a big deal, but in return i get the awd and better MPG.

Paying $2K to trade down from an IS350 to an IS250 with the same miles (with Nav, even though a $100 handheld Garmin is more versatile and will probably get you to the destination more effectively/efficiently) or $7k to trade down to an newer IS250. Now I've seen everything.
An IS350AWD coming out this fall, by the way, if you really need AWD, unless of course you've already went through with the deal in which case - best of luck.

you have to take into account of the expense i would have to incur if i do decided to keep my car(breaks, tires, and windshield). so it's less then 7k when you take everything into account.

I think it is a good idea based on what you have stated. A win win for you and the dealership. You shouldn't mention is350- is250 in these forums because everyone will see it as a bad decision for some odd reason that I am still trying to understand to this day. Until the IS350 looks different from the 250, I will not purchase one. The 335i looks different from the 328i and that is the only reason i prefer one over the other, not the 300hp. Don't worry, I understand both sides. Choice is good!
