Default 2010 Owners--- Did you get your OEM All Weather Mats yet?

Hey all,

When I picked up my 2010 IS, I was told that I can come to the dealer to pick up the floor mats when the newly released versions are released. The reason they can't include it with the delivery of the car is because Lexus has ordered them to remove it their inventory.

Anyway, I went to the dealership yesterday to have the recall done. I brought my contract/receipt of my vehicle purchase and requested the floor mats be given to me. The service rep spoke with someone from parts and informed me that I cannot get them yet. They were reserved for those involved with the recall.

I thought this was strange because I was going in to get the recall done. I asked the guy to elaborate. He said they were basically taking care of those who had the older mats first. They are only giving the new floor mats to customers who have the older one and can swap with them. Basically, if you are owed floor mats, you'd have to wait. He even mention how new ES owners are still waiting for their floor mats as well. When the newly revised mats are available for sale, that's when I can pick them up.

Anyone having this issue?

The OEM all weather mats are junk. They will only last approx one year. Do yourself a favor and get your money back and get aftermarket mats.

I have an appointment to get mine Thursday. Mine are 3 years old, and as Koz said, are deteriorating. There's a hole worn under the driver's foot, and the lip edge is tearing off. Salesman threw them in at no charge, though, so I'm hoping that the new ones will be good enough for another 3 years.

You were lucky to get 3 years, most people only get approx one year.

They wear out where the driver rests their shoe heel. The ribs on the mats are hollow and at the peak of the rib is where they wear through. Don't waste your money!

Get the FloorLiner™ DigitalFit® from weathertech. I have had it for 6months now, no complains and keeps my carpet clean.

Wow. I just got the replacement mats for the recall. If you thought the OEM mats were a POS, you haven't seen ANYTHING yet. The replacement mats are HORRIBLE! They are way thinner, and don't have the deep channels to catch the water (they are so thin, they can't have "hollow" channels). If my OEM mat didn't have holes wearing in them, I would have refused these ones. You can get a better quality mat a Walmart. The Tech said they are thinner to keep them from trapping the gas pedal--whatever....

Anyone who is thinking about PAYING for these new OEM mats--DO NOT.

The dealer did fill my gas tank, though .
