"Dot setting" is just the parking lights, which are a filament (aka yellow/amber "regular bulb") 168 bulb. Your 9005's won't be on in this mode. You cannot change your parking lights to HIDs, but you can change them LEDs, which will closely match your low beam HIDs. With LED parking lights your 9005/high beam will be unchanged and thus 100% functional. Your 9005s would ONLY come on when you're using high beam mode.

Installing the parking light LEDs at the same time as your intake is a good idea.
