Default Great Big Honkers pt.2

GUYS UPDATE ON PAGE 2!!!!! FINISHED THE PROJECT!!!

hey guys!

Tired of the weird honkers not being aligned correctly? (couldn't take a pic of my car but here is a random pic with a mesh grille. credit to this guy!)

thanks to montgb (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...g-honkers.html)
(for his sound clip, and looks check his post provided!),
he gave us some info and showed us some installment pics of his supertones. well here is a sneak peak for now on what I did on my free time. It has been ages to install these, and here is what I got so far.

Again this isn't for everyone, but please keep the flaming low

Ordered these off somewhere... forgot where, affordable
I dismantled the horns to take the frame out for some spraying.

Then bought myself a primer, blue paint, and clear coat, yet again affordable

After 1 full coat of primer, 3 coats of blue, 3 coats of clear coat, this is what I got.

The rest.... I will have to have these installed sometime. Crossing my fingers for them to look nice and fitting with my car.

Great color, DaKi! Did you have as much fun trying to detach the red Hella grill as I did? Some of my screws are so stripped that they're never coming off again.

Can't wait to see them installed. Let me know if you need positioning tips.

Ahahaha it was alright. I just used a wrench on the rear to hold it in place and used those electric drillls. came off nice and easy and yeah credit to you montgb for the supertones I will let you know how it turns out for the positioning

They're 118dB ("ear-splitting") when properly hooked-up to the battery. If they just use the OEM horn power plugs, the sound is different but not remarkable.
