Default Anyone try the Sewell interior lighting kit?

Im not looking for the brightest bulbs on the market. But the stock ones arent cutting it for me. I have a hard time seeing when I need to turn them on at night. Im looking for a nice upgrade at a reasonable price. Anyone have experience with this kit?

i have it and it is well worth the upgrade. its bright, but not too bright like some of those high powered ones. I like the ones i have because its not too overwhelming bright and i can see the inside of the car much better than compared to stock bulbs.

Almost identical thread from 2 weeks ago: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...hting-kit.html

If you don't want bright, Sewell will be just fine. I know of one person who had it and had a bulb die within a year, but that's anecdotal. Most people seem happy.

thats another thing I was wondering. what happens when a bulb dies? Could you buy them individualy? Id want the same brand bulb to match the others.

Are there better priced bulbs out there on ebay or whatever?

As far as I know, Sewell does not sell replacement bulbs individually. I could be wrong though.

I personally recommend V-LEDs. Here's a replacement guide: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...de-w-pics.html but it's for the brightest possible setup. V-LEDs also sells less bright LEDs if that's your thing.

for those whoe bought the Sewell kit what did you do about your vanity mirror lights? the kit doesnt come with them. Id hate to buy a seperate brand of LEDs for the vanity mirror lights and not have them match up with the rest.

^ Well if you can now buy bulb replacements individually, the bulb used in the door/courtesy light should be ideal for the vanity light. They should be flank bulbs to ensure maximum lighting efficiency, but I haven't seen it in person.

Your vanity lights use a 194 LED wedge bulb.
