Is it really safe to yank out the mirror like that? I'm going to replace puddle lamps with brighter LED but I can only take out two screws. They are very hard to reach without yanking out the mirror first.
of course part number is different for the outer since they obviously look different, orange vs clear white.
I don't see any reason why the fitment would be an issue since the inner are the same size. And the current 09-10 already fits 06-08 so 2011 shouldn't be a problem.

It's the inner lamp part number that has me baffled. They look the same to me by appearance, but the part numbers tell me it's a different lamp.

...shouldn't be, but the trunk lid has a different part number too! How it's different, I don't know. The lamp guide pins might be a different alignment or the lamp might have a slight angle difference on the lens like the IS-F lamps do. The good news on this is the wire harness and the bulbs are the same.
hi sewell, i wonder why don't you have a mirror upgrade on the website? 09+ side mirror, if the price is reasonable a lot of older IS version would buy it.
