Iphone4 and bluetooth :(

I don't have a picture to share, but I looked at my iPod Touch in hopes of describing it.
All I did was (from Home screen) was Touch the "Settings" icon, then General > Bluetooth > On.
At that point at the bottom on the iPod it says "Now Discoverable".
When I did that, and put my car audio system on BT-A Connect mode, they just sort of detected each other, at some point (I think on the iPod) I was prompted for the PIN, etc. I guess I learned from the car owners manual that the PIN for BT-A was "0000". The car's PIN for phone bluetooth is a different number altogether.
Also, this *has* to be slightly different than the above on an iPhone where you have 2 kinds of BT, iPod only has one, on or off.

connecting through bluetooth to use for the phone functions is separate from pairing for bluetooth A2DP to listen to music. look for it under the audio settings and not phone settings.

Audio Streaming from Iphone to Lexus
The only thing i'm able to accomplish besides phone calls on a lexus 2006 rx 330 from an iphone IOS 6 is streaming AUDIO NOTES. it's DEFINITELY possible to do but i'm sure will need some type of a hack. once an Iphone is paired with truck, either phone calls or your audio notes can be played back. any suggestions?

I just did my setup a few days ago. I have 2007 is350 so bluetooth music is not supported. I have to use aux-input. You can buy blackberry music gateway 2 from crackberry site ($50). And my car had the ground loop noise issue so i bought the kengsington ground loop isolator from amazon ($9). And on top of it, my usb ac plug had a problem to produce some other noise so I had purchased another cheaper usb charger (short and mini) to stay in the armrest compartment. Now I can play music via bluetooth and it is smart enough to switch between navi bluetooth and blackberry bluetooth. No more gound loop noise either. There are many threads on this setup.

Iphone Streaming on Older Lexus Models Can Be Done!!!
i came across this great post and did it myself over the weekend. the admin redid the post after i pointed a couple of things that he/she missed but they now have screenshots and all of how to do this from A to Z. I was looking for a way to stream from my iphone to my lexus truck and didn't want to go with all those cheap radio transmitters but this worked like a charm!!! check out his tutorial on how to stream iphone content to lexus
