Hey, I just recently bought a 2007 IS250, my first lexus, and I'm loving almost all of it. When I turn on my headlights, not only do my outer HID lights come on, but my inner halogen lights also come on. I really dislike the contrast between the yellow and white lighting within my headlights. Is there any way to turn off the halogen headlights from inside the car, or do I have to manually take out the halogen headlight/replace it with HID.
Also, I'd really like to change my halogen foglights to HID lights. anyone have any suggestions on what lights to buy?
completely new subject here, but what would get my is250 sounding better if i had to choose between the two? An F-Sport intake, or F-Sport exhaust?

they're the same wedge bulb. you just have to look for one that's 4300k.

To get a good match for your fogs you should find a 4300K HID kit. If you're really **** about matching, you should also do a custom projector foglight retrofit, but that takes a considerable amount of skill. Check out DDM Tuning, Xenon Depot and HIDExtra for HID kits. The last two are both forum vendors.
If you had to choose, the exhaust. I'd really suggest both though, they play well off of each other with the exhaust handling the low end, the intake the high end of the RPMs.

jlee403,
Your vehicle use s 194/168 bulb for the parking light. Here are some pics of our 194/168 LED bulbs installed in a Lexus GS:

Upgrading fogs to HID: Your vehicle uses a halogen 9006 bulb for the fog lights meaning that if you wanted to upgrade them to HID you would need to get a 9006 HID conversion kit. Your vehicle uses 4300 D4S bulbs for the low beams so I would most likely go with a 4300k HID kit in the fogs to match your stock D4S HID low beams. You can get 9006 style LED bulbs however they offer very very little useable light output.

im not interested in buying an HID kit and wiring in ballasts and what not. There arent replacement bulbs out there that I can pop into the existing fog light socket and have it match my HIDs? There's gotta be something, if not totally match it there has to be a whiter light.

flektone, another member on this forum used piaa extreme white plus halogen bulbs for his fogs and it matched his stock hid lows pretty close. not a perfect match, but way better than anything else ive seen. try that..

^ No halogen bulb will match your HIDs that well. Silverstar Ultra, PIAA Xtreme White Plus and others are whiter, but far from a match IMO.

If installing an HID kit for your fogs is not an option, perhaps you should just go yellow.
