Personally? I would. The handling of the AWD STi is undeniable. It would be fun to hoon it up all winter.
And I also miss being able to mod my Lexus as much as you can other import cars. Especially for more power. Playing around with turbos is alot of fun.
And yes, this is apples to oranges. I prefer the hatch too. And would take the $32K Limited Edition.
FWIW, my IS350 is my 3rd Lexus and the least satisfying one yet.

Until you drive one don't mock the STi. With a few mods this car can quickly turn into a very fast car. Subaru's symmetrical AWD system is probably the best on the market. If you live in an area where bad weather occurs there really is no comparison.

I used to have a 2007 IS250. I sold it about 2 years ago because it was BORING to drive. No enjoyment what so ever to drive, it was comfy but no were fun to drive. I sold my 1996 Acrua Integra GSR and to my surprise I missed driving the Acura! I made a mistake getting an IS250, maybe it was a combination of a low power and being an auto. I do not even miss it either.
I rather have the fun factor of driving an STI then a driving a boring IS250. I do not care about leather, sunroof, etc. (no offense to IS250 owners) An IS350 is a different story because it has an increase in power.
I am actually considering a 2011 STI Hatch. It is really versatile, you can pick a lot of stuff back there, handles very good (improved for 2011), and has good power. In the ISx50's rear seats do not fold down which was a bummer too!
