i actually considered trading in my is250 for the sti...i actually had the opportunity to test drive one. not this version in particular but the 5 door hatchback one. i have to say , it was an exhilarating drive and i almost went thru with the whole transaction..but the interior was pretty tacky...and lacked a lotta the creature comforts i loved from the IS series..happy i stayed with lexus

Absolute junk. Prepare to go through tranny's if you get one. Oh and once you get tired of the crappy ride and rattle traps the resale value will top it off. Sure its fun when its new but you only make the mistake of buying one once.......The only fun thing about those is the mod factor, but I hope you have deep pockets for one, two the ammount of money you have to put into those things to make them "decent" you could get a real sports car. I'd flame that car (and the evo) no matter what I drove.

Are you serious?? The STI 6 speed tranny is one of the strongest points on the car. That is one of the reasons why people get the STI vs. the regular WRX. Amount of money to make them to be "decent"?? Stage 2 costs under $1,000.

Are we talking about the same car here?

id have to say no. the hatch looks better than the sedan, but even then, the hatch is still ugly in my eyes. id feel like i was downgrading from a lexus to a subaru in terms of looks and luxury. my friend owns the hatch model and its a fun car to drive, but then i drove my friends evo x... im sold on the evo.

With an economy like this, cars price are dropping pretty quick. If you really want to get rid of your ISx50, trade it in for nice used car that's only a couple of years old: E55 AMG, M3, RS4, CTS-V, or even 911's. Why settle for something lesser?
