I live in Vancouver, B.C. (Canada) and I'm thinking of purchasing a 2010 IS250AWD w/ premium package "top of the line."
The initial purchase price is $54,325 CAD + (sales tax: 12%) $6,519 = grand total of $60,844 CAD.
This amount equals just under $60K US.
What do you guys think?

Are cars more expensive in Canada? I purchased my 250awd with navi (only missing the luxury package which includes the rain sensing wipers, door sill plates, side mirror dimming/tilting and rear sunshield) at $34,600 + tax @ 5% which is about $36000 bucks altogether. For $60k USD can get us into an IS-F...

sad to say but welcome to car pricing in Canada, it is quite ridiculous.. and with the current exchange it goes to show how much we get screwed for luxury cars up north ![Crying](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/Peace.gif)
hence on Canadian forums there are extensive threads of vehicle importation from the States cuz honestly sometimes its does come out a little cheaper.
ISF in the states are going for around 40k used and up here in Canada expect to pay still mid 50-60 for a used F

Well I guess it's not TOO bad considering in Singapore, they have a 200% tax on vehicles. My college buddy was telling me his old man bought a 335i coupe in Singapore for about $95000 USD. Crazy, no? When he came to the states, his dad said "well I need a car over here" so they went to get a 911 which ended up costing less than his BMW lol!
