Default New dent in is250

Hi,

I have a dent in my Lexus. It's in the rear door towards the front edge. You can see it in the picture. It really bothers me. I called a PDR and they said they would not be able to fix it. I would have to send it in to a traditional auto body and paint place. Does anyone know what they would do at the auto body and paint to fix the dent such as filler, sanding, etc? Thanks.

Sand, fill, wet sand, primer and blend paint. At least it's not Glacier Frost. Lucky you.

Call more PDR places. What part of Cali are you in?

We have a dent in the same spot. Dealer attempted to fix with touch up paint (we have the door ding insurance). Needless to say they have it over the weekend for the sand, fill, primer and paint.

This is honestly going to take a traditional body shop to fix. I had a two similar dents on my rear quarter panel where the seam meets my rear bumper. They ended up having to fill and refinish the entire panel to fix it. In fact I don't think it was even as deep as yours. Hopefully there's some reputable shops in your area. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys. I live in Chino Hills, anyone know of a good body shop where I can get it fixed? I'm probably going to get the front redone as well so that I can put a clear bra on. Once I get it fixed, I'll post up the after pics.

Call a couple more Dent Wizards first - if someone can do a 90% job it might be a better solution than filler and paint. But that is a difficult place to get to.

Isn't it that if it's on a seam or folded metal there's no where that you can get to, to get under the dent to work it out. Unless suction is used but even then because of the seam or folded edge of the door it won't move much.

Hopefully they can, though. Much cheaper and less intrusive.

I'm taking in the car tomorrow. The auto body guy said that if the dent can be removed by PDR, that's the way he goes first. If not, then he'll have to do it the traditional way. I'll keep you guys posted.

Got my car back and had all the dents/scratches taken out as well as the license plate holes. Unfortunately, the dent couldn't be taken out by pdr method. Had to go the more expensive traditional route. I'm happy though. Got it done at Michael's Auto body and paint in Fullerton, CA.

Thanks for the pics. How much did everything cost? If you don't mind me asking.
