I did the math on it a looong time ago, so I might be a little off. I think that an NA engine at Bandimere loses nearly 18-19% HP due to altitude.

elevation sucks. Ive been offroading at about 7,000 to 9000 feet and the SUV felt like it had half the HP

If anyone cares, I'm using dragtimes density altitude calculator.
HOLY CRAP!!! Something has to be a bit off with that calculator...the only mod I have is a Joe-Z intake pipe with a K&N drop-in filter...

Actually you should be able to drop that 60ft time one to two tenths even at that elevation. Practice launching the car. I was able to get 2.19 60fts with my LS400 with 225/60-16s and an open 3.266 ratio differential.

Any time saved in the 60ft is often worth more due to the dynamics of acceleration. 1 tenth in the 60 is worth obviously at least 1 tenth and it is not uncommon to get more like 1.5 or even 2 tenths depending on the vehicles torque curve.

A little practice and you are turning 14s at WELL over a mile elevation and that is impressive.

The BEST solution for altitude is a waste gated turbo system. This is how piston engine aircraft maintain sea level power at altitude.

You are 100% right...I just couldn't get my timing down, of course this was the first time out at the strip in this car (I was used to my Saturn, laugh, I know....) and the 1st time trying to time the tree with an electronic throttle automatic, much easier in a manual with a cable driven throttle...I was sure that if I nailed the tree, I could turn a mid 13 second time and really wow everyone there...

Next time out it will be in the fall and hopefully much cooler out...also maybe some suspension and exhaust by then as well
