Arrow STOCK IS 350 1/4 MILE @ 5,860 Ft.

So I went to the track last night, and here's the best I could do... Elevation is a killer!

With cooler temps, and/or a better R/T I'm certain I could of broke into the 14's

-VDIM off (with pedal dance)
-No sport mode
-3/4 tank of gas
-No Spare
-Left foot on brake, release brake & mashing gas pedal on 3rd yellow.

Elevation 5,860 Ft'
Temperature 90 F

R/T .357
60' 2.418

1/4 15.115 @ 93.2 MPH

Sweet!! I know mine is a dog in Colorado Springs... Even the Lexus dealer admitted they don't run well. I am thinking of getting a better air intake just to get back to stock performance!

General rule of thumb when your starving for air is roughly +1 second @ this altitude in the 1/4 mile.

Like I said with a bit cooler day I could have pulled a 14.8-15.0

You boys should come down to Louisiana....We could sure learn ya something real good bout atmospheric pressure.

my time in my sig was in full street trim. big *** wheels, sub in the trunk.

Crazy how much elevation starves these cars...

I spent last Saturday at Atlanta Dragway, and conditions were not much better...

-849' elevation
-110 plus track temp
-89% humidity
-the only import street car there...and second fastest!

My best run...

Reaction time: .399
60': 2.140
1/8 mile: 9.056
MPH: 79.34
1/4 mile: 14.007
MPH: 98.60

I ran 7 times, all with TRAC off (pedal dance), in "D" only, power braked up to about 1500, and just floored it...was struggling to get a reaction time under .300. Made my buddies 2005 C6 Vette look weak all day, never lost...was told that all the heat and humidity added about .40 or .50 to your time...

I corrected your time based on the data you provided plus an average atmospheric pressure of approximately 30 inches Hg and a relative humidity of 17 (current relative humidity in denver colorado, I made a quick and dirty assumption that the relative humidity during your track day fell roughly around 17). Here is the equivalent -

15.115 @ 93.2 MPH given your absurdly high density altitude is equivalent to -

Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
13.396 @ 104.55 MPH

at sea level, which is a very admirable time.

Humidity and temperature killed your time, here is your equivalent at sea level -

Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
13.117 @ 105.279 MPH

If anyone cares, I'm using dragtimes density altitude calculator.

Correct me if Im wrong, but didn't I read somewhere (manual or otherwise) that revving the engine while in drive with the brake on can be detrimental to our transmissions?

2-3 seconds of preloading while on the brake at low RPMs is a non-issue

Interesting... well I feel like if I would have done that, and had some momentum going before releasing the brake, I could have possibly knocked off 2-3 tenths of a second...
