The Avalon is a long-wheelbase Camry platform, not a GS.
As noted the HS is based on the Avensis, a european model, not the Prius.
Apart from the ES I'm not aware of any current Lexus car (car, not truck) that shares a platform with any USDM Toyota car.
Among other things, Lexus cars (apart from the HS/ES) are RWD. Toyota cars aren't.

RX is FWD...

i think i know what Steven79 is trying to say. by not really comparing but assimilating the toyota-lexus models, i think it would be somewhat like this:
Prius- HS
Camry- ES
Avalon- GS
4Runner- RX
Sequoia- GX
Land Cruiser- LX
Supra- SC
Venza- CT200h?
not a stupid question by any means, but there are some similarities. i dont see anything from toyota that resembles the IS line. the 1st gen IS i could see somewhat resembling maybe a Corolla-like form.

4runner is GX, and the Highlander is the RX. I had an 07 ltd v8 4runner and they shared alot of parts, including some crash bars and most suspension components. The interiors were also very similar in reference to mounting points.
