Default Suitability Of F-Sport F+R Brake Set On Is250 W/ Isf 19" Wheels

Hi Guys,

I have a 2008 IS250 RWD with a set of 19" ISF BBS Wheel set. I'm currently interested and possibly looking to upgrade to the F-Sport Front and Rear Brake Sets however I am unsure if the ISF Wheels I currently have will clear the large calipers on the F-Sport Brakes?

Any information you could provide would be most appreciated! Thanks guys!

I seem to remember that people couldn't put ISF wheels directly on an IS350 since the front wheels would hit the brakes. I doubt the FSport brakes are skinnier than the IS350 BBKs, so you might want to look into this some more.

EDIT: This thread should help: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...acer-size.html

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your input. Yes I am aware that ISF Wheels will not fit over IS350 BBK calipers (from an earlier post I have found here on CL).

I have contacted Sewell Parts and they have advised that F-Sport Front Brake upgrade for my IS250 unfortunately the caliper for the front brake set will not fit under the ISF wheel, however that the F-Sport Rear Brake upgrade will definitely fit.

Sewell has advised however that another option for me is to purchase the ISF Brake set upgrade which they sell which was designed to fit under the ISF Wheels. They had also advised that slight modification will be required for my IS250 however I will also have to spend $300 (each hub) to upgrade all four hubs on my car. http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...50-2008-8.html

Seems like a very expensive exercise once you add it all up and definitely is much more expensive than the F-Sport Brake Upgrade Option.

I have 5mm front and 10mm spacers in the back. F-Sport Front & Rear brakes on ISF Wheels. I don't think having a 250 vs. 350 should make a difference for fitment here. I think there are other people who have done the same setup.

i think the ISF brakes and Fsport brakes are pretty similiar? so the ISF wheels should fit no problem if you have the fsport bbk, not sure about this mayb someone else can chime in

You must have missed the earlier post where the OP contacted Sewell and confirmed that the FSport brakes will hit the ISF wheels in the front.

Hey AznJason,

Thanks for your input. Do you mind posting up some pics of your set up? I'd love to have a look and get an idea how it all fits and the clearance of your ISF wheels to the calipers.

Also what brand is your spacers and where do you buy them from??

Thanks again for all your help.

Be mindful, the IS-F BBK we offer does includes the front hubs already. The hubs are required to allow for the additional clearance needed for the larger calipers (wider than the F-Sport BBK).

In addition to this, I was inspired by this thread and just modified the price for the IS-F Brake kit to be less expensive than that of the F-Sport brakes. Check the link again and you'll see it.

hopefully u can inspired more and adjust the prices less expensive cuz I really like the new tail light, fsport steering, 09 signal lights and white scuff and other accessories but they all add up like >$2k.
